In order to bring 2L and 3L students a more intimate networking event, the Student Services Fellows, with the generous support of Dean White, Dean Stearns, and Dean Cox, partnered with various attorneys and judges from the Miami area to create a series of networking dinners throughout the month of September.

I was nervous before I even stepped onto the plane at JFK. Not because I was moving thousands of miles away, but mostly because of the e-mail concerning the overload of students Miami had invited in.
On August 28th, Senior H.O.P.E. Fellow and second-year law student Paul Petrequin hosted a screening of ‘Sentenced Home,’ a documentary putting a human face of controversial immigration and deportation issues, as part of his ‘We The People’ film project. Once a month, the film series will show a documentary that targets specific human rights issues in various communities, followed by a discussion between invited panelists and the attendees.
